How to ask my guy friend out?

I have a crush on my BGF, let’s call him “Chris”. I’ve known Chris since I was 6 and we’re 13. He’s sweet, funny, nice, smart, and athletic. I go to his house a lot. He just came back from California. Chris asks me for advice all the time. This year we gave each other birthday gifts. I gave him a box of Razzles (from 13 going on 30 the movie we saw in his basement) and a CD and he said it was the best gift ever. Chris got me this really pretty perfume. We hang out all the time. He’s into the same things I’m into. We go to different schools. Chris asked recently who I liked and I said, “All the guys at my school are crazy.” Should I tell him how I feel?
