How can I ask a guy to the dance as a friend?

I really really really like this guy. There’s a Valentine’s day dance at my school tomorrow and I really want to ask him to it. I don’t know him very well; we’ve hung out before but only with other friends around.

I want to ask him to the dance as just a friend… and I have no idea how to put it in words without completely humiliating myself! What can I do?

well just use an excuse say its been awhile since we’ve hang you wanna go to the valentines day dance..text it to him or say it face to face.or be like hey you wanna go to the dance with me as friends if you dont its ok.try somethin like that…hope that helps
