How stupid are the Big Three CEO's?

The CEO’s of Chrysler, Ford, and GM took luxury rides in private jets on their way to their Congressional hearings to ask for a multi-billion dollar bailout, rather than spending a couple hundred bucks on economy, or even a few hundred on first class airline seats.

As a taxpayer, do you believe these idiots are worth spending your money to help? I realize the auto industry holds a huge chunk of US manufacturing jobs, but it’s an outrage that these guys are begging for money from Congress while making no personal sacrifice, and have a history of crappy management. It’s just like the Wall Street execs spending bailout money on their bonuses…the federal cash cow just keeps getting whacked open, with goodies for all the rich boys.

Answer #1

Arrogance run amok - kind of reminds me of the time Leona Helmsly referred to ‘the little people’…Sad.

Answer #2

It’s tough to justify bailing out banks but not car makers or others. The banks just got to the trough first.

Any future bailouts should be contingent upon the firing of the CEO and board of directors, and a new board being chosen by random lottery of major share holders.

Answer #3

No they shouldn’t receive handouts but then again neither should Wall Street have. Any critics of the free market cannot use this country as an example of its viability… this isnt the free market at work. It hasn’t been for a long while.

This is the danger of federalism. When we usher in full blown socialism as its replacement… [or any degree… there really isnt a difference… unfair is unfair] we can expect the same fattening hogs getting their turns at the trough first.

Unfortunate that Americans are so happy and complacent with their governance… that we continue to abide this reaping.

Prediction: Nothing changes. We continue to listen to media that sold us the bailout. The bloodletting continues but only for the plutocrats. The automakers won’t get the handout… they arent the fattest of the fat cats… we gave at the Ave. of the Americas office.

How stupid are we?
