How should I do my hair for senior prom if I have shorter hair?

May 29th is my boyfriends senior prom. And I have not short, but not long hair. It’s about an inch or two past my shoulders. I was wondering if anyone had ideas for a hair style? I was thinking loose curls put up on the side with sparkley barette things. Does anyone have any good pictures or other ideas for me? Please and thank you(:

You’re idea actually sounds really cute! Curls are always a classic for prom and always look good. I always thought a hawaiin style flower in a hair-do looked good :)

You can style the front however, like pin your bangs or leave them down, however you prefer. In the back start at the crown (top) or your head and pick up pieces of hair (roughly 1/2 - 1 inch pieces) twirling them and then twisting them in a kind of a pin wheel shape flat against your head. Pin the little curls in place with pretty pins or sparkly, colored bobby pins. Dont be afraid to let the pins criss-cross or to overlap the pin wheels. Continue until all your hair is pinned up.

Bonus: when you let your hair back down for the after prom or the next morning it will be all curly and cute :)
