How much weight will you lose being vegetarian

How much weight do you lose when you start eating vegetarian? I have been eating nothing but fruit and veggies and whole grains…no milk no dairy no eggs and no meat. I have lost 6 pounds in 2 weeks and want to know if I will lose more…

I didnt decide to eat this way for weight loss, I decided when I read the book skinny b* and got educated about the treatment of animals and how meat and dairy affects your body, I noticed the weight loss and was curious if it would continue. I do take vitamins and eat food that has lots of protein…im a cyclist. I am very healthy and get great exercise.

I agree with her, kinda. at first, when I went vegetarian, I lost about 10 lbs in the first 2 weeks. but, it came back gradually. it’s just your body adjusting to the change. being a vegetarian isn’t about a diet. it’s a lifestyle, you should do it because you care about animals, not because you want to lose weight. FYI, there are vitamins to take to make sure you get plenty of the nutrients you’re missing out on when you go vegetarian. you almost have to take vitamins to keep yourself healthy. as for proteins, that’s why they make soy food. it’s got tons of protein. there are healthy ways to be a vegetarian, but it won’t help you lose weight.

youd have to be an idiot to start vegetarianism just to loose weight seriously being a vegetarian is NOT a diet, or a weight loss thing… its a lifestyle when you just eat fruit, vegies, nurs, ect your body gets virtually NO proteins, omega 3, iron and other important nutrients your body needs to survive on and because your not getting enough nutrients, your starving yourself youve lost weight because your not eating any food that cant really be put on as fat so your body is eating itself and its fat reserves to make up for the lack of nutrients this means that everything else you eat will go staright on as fat because your baody is starving, and it needs fat to get you healthier what your doing is stupid and unhealthy and its not a long term thing the weight loss is very temporary and you will gain it back very quickly, and then some because when you starve yourself and deprive your body of much needed nutrienst everything else you eat goes straight on as fat you need to stop now start eating healthy again because your not going to get anywere doing what you are now weight loss doesnt happen quickly, it happensa GRADUALLY over MONTHS of healthy eating and regular exerscise and if your not prepared to put in the effort and hard work, your not going to loose anything permanently youll just gain it all back and then some and struggle through life constantly wonderering why the weight your loosing isnt staying off so stop, and at least do it the right way healthy eating and regular exerscise
