How late is normal for your period when first going on the pill?

I started my birth control on thursday november 26(thanksgiving) my friends say its odd they had me start on thursday, I think I messed up my pills. But im a week and a half late for my period is that normal!?

when I went on the pill my peirod was 3 weeks late I thought I had messed up or was pregnant but then I got it :) thank god lol you probably just messed up its easy to do when you first get on it

different pills require different start dates, for the most part I think it is the sunday after your period, yours are probably different though

It all depends on the pill about when you start. I started on a Wednesday. Usually they get you to start during your period (the first day) but as long as you followed the doctor/nurses instructions you are fine.

cause not I’m starting my inactive pills and im worried.. cause I actually ended up having sex the night I started it..:/ but we used a condom. but I dont think im pregnant. so it’s generally normal to be late when starting the pill?

I now understand what you mean.

When starting the inactive pills most women get their periods at the 3rd or 4th inactive pill.

Also if you used a condom you’ll be fine.
