Was Princess Diana a historical figure?

It’s more a would you condsider her a historical figure. I have to write and essay on a historical figure that was influential to me. I want to write it on Princess Diana, but I’m not sure if she would be considered a historical figure.

Yeah she was a real Princess. And because of her death she is now a historical figure.

Depends on what you mean by a historical figure. As far as I am aware she didn’t do anything significant that made her an historical figure.
