How far in should my tampon go?

Hey I was wondering does it matter if you tampon sticks out a little or does it have to be right up??

Answer #1

it should go in all the way. if they’re still some cotton of the tampon left on the outside of your vagina than its misplaced. does it feel weird when you sit down or move at all?

Answer #2

I agree with both tkloca and oneheartnow.

The brand I use is the Tampax Cardboard ones. Pearl? With me, It LEaks! even when they say it doesn’t! liars. Tampax is More absorbant.

Answer #3

Well OK, I’ll play big sister for a minute. The tampon should not stick out a little bit- BUT THE STRING MUST REMAIN OUTSIDE OF YOU. When you are inserting it, there comes a point when you don’t really feel it inside you. You’ll definetly feel when it kind of eases in. your situation sounds like it could feel very uncomfortable. A tampon feels a lot better when it is properly inserted.

Not to sound mean, but have you been able to read the instructions and look at the diagrams? Seriously, that helped me a lot when I first started using them.

Answer #4

I have found if it is not inserted all the way in, it will work itself out when you are walking. How embarrasing!

Answer #5

all the way!
