How does a purity ring work?

Alright well.. I’ve been thinking to get a Purity Rings. And I know if I ask my mother about this - tell her exactly what I want to do, and that I want to do the vow of not having any intercourse until after marriage -, She’ll say yes. But.. I’m still just a bit confused about them. What would it include? I don’t mean to be.. dirty or anything but help would it only include; having a sexual intercourse? Or even just.. fingering youself.. or using a tool possibly. Sorry, please answer me question if you know. I would like to make the vow of no intercourse until after marriage.

Ok a purity ring is a promise as you know! To your mom grandparents aunts etc. That you will not have anything to deal with sex until your married! Which means not fingering or anything to do with sex! Basically your saying to your mom I won’t even think or do anything that deals with sex! And that’s the guidelines to having a purity ring!
