How do you get rid of demi-permanent hair dye?

I recently dyed my hair red, intending for a subtle dark red colour. It turned out bright red like tinsle. My fringe is really shiny and it’s all patchy. It just generally looks awful. The thing is it’s demi-permanent, which means it’ll wash out after 24-26 shampoos depending on the porosity and condition of your hair. This would be nearly a month if I washed my hair once a day. I have to go to college looking like this and it’s really embarrassing!

I phoned a hairdresser and I have an appointment on Tuesday to see what we can do to tone the colour down a bit.

I really need it gone! I have college on Monday and I really don’t want to see the hairdresser on Tuesday. :(

Go to Sally Beauty Supply. If I’m not mistaken its called Colorfix, its about $12. it dissolves hair dye. There is also a product called Color Oops at Walgreens, doesn’t work as good, but it will do it. One last note- DO NOT DO STEP 3 of the ColorFix. I don’t know why, but everytime I’ve used it and my sister in law too- it returns you back to the same color you were before. Trust me.

well, you could always dye it back. it could hurt your hair but, I dyed my hair blonde a few months ago and that was a bad idea so I dyed it black again and it’s fine.
