im sorry

please download:: http://free.avg.com/gb-en/homepage

install and run a full system scan…

if you cant and the malware is controling it you will have to remove it yourself

click start or the windows vista/7 icon in the left of the task bar;

then click run and type: regedit

now remove:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run “Eco Antivirus”

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eco Antivirus

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Eco Antivirus

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Eco Antivirus

if you cant see Run…

with vista and w7…

  1. Right-click the Start button and choose Properties.
  2. On the Start Menu tab, click the Customize button to the right of the Start Menu option.
  3. In the Customize Start Menu dialog box, scroll down and place a check mark next

then remove:

C:/Program Files\Eco Antivirus

Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Eco Antivirus

Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Eco Antivirus

you will need to have ‘show hidden files and folders’ ticked to see the Application Data folder…

go: control panel/folder options/view/ scrol down till you see ‘show hidden files, folder and drives’

if this fails in normal mode:

boot up in safe mode and it shold allow you to remove them all without a prob:

as your puter is booting hit F8 and keep hittin it just after the 1st boot screen and select safe mode and hit enter…

if you cant be arsed doin that just go: Run / MSCONFIG / select BOOT.INI tab / check /SAFEBOOT

and restart when prompted

let me know if it works… it bloody should :)

Since the issue is relating rogue, I highly recommend Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware scanner. They have a free version which I use all of the time, which is very effective and easy. (www.malwarebytes.org)

After you’ve installed it, be sure to click the update tab and search for updates BEFORE scanning. This insures that all of the definitions are up to date. When you’re ready to scan, click on the Scanner tab and make sure that Perform full scan is checked off. (The full scan option does a full and thorough scan of your whole system, while the other option doesn’t.)

If you still have an issue, which you most likely won’t, you could also try using Spybot Search & Destroy. As said before, just be sure to update the definitions before scanning.

Do NOT edit your registry on your own unless you know exactly what you’re doing.

I hope you get the option sorted out.

Take care!

Some malware is pretty tough to get rid of. At one point my work laptop was so wedged that the only thing I could do was to save my documents then wipe the disk and reinstall the OS. The entire IS/IT department of my company couldn’t get it back.

Answer #5

I’ve just done some research and this

eco-av.com <- Do Not Go

AVG will not allow me to enter their site

so as I said in 1st post get some decent antivirus and firewall software

take no chances cus it just causes head aches :)
