How do you tell your parents about a bad grade if they're strict?

I got a 40% on a project and my parents are strict and I need to get it signed how do I tell them?

Answer #1

Tough luck, speaking from experience there isnt a right way to tell them. You can convince them that it wont happen again but thats just about it.

Answer #2

Tell them the truth right away. If you leave it for later it will get worse, plus you don’t have that king of time. If you try to hide this from them they will be more disappointed at you.

Just tell them,”I been trying to get the courage to tell you that I got this grade on my project because I don’t want you to be disappointed at me. I still need for you to sign it and I will do every thing I can to ask for extra work to make up for it.”

THEN ACTUALLY DO ASK FOR EXTRA WORK AND GET IT DONE!!!

They’ll know you were honest and after the extra credit they’ll even be thankful that you tried to bring the grade up.

Answer #3

Tell them the truth and tell them you are setting up a planned out schedule for studying and homework. That you yourself are ashamed of the grade and are working on changing your future grades and bringing up your now low grade in that class and all your others as well. Tell them you are going to prove to them that this is important. Tell them to give you a chance to show them. But really make a plan and stick to it. Give it 100%! School is important! You only have this one chance and if you screw it up now believe me you cant go back and fix your highschool career later but getting those bad grades can come and bite you in the butt later in your career. I’m only 20 and I’m already regretting the choices I made in high school. Well, hope I helped a little.

Well, what do you think brought your grade down?

Answer #5

Not to be mean but just suck it up and tell them.

Answer #6

well first of all you should go through the things you’ve learned and see if you understand them thoroughly. Also if you need it signed don’t forge signature. Also be brave and be sorry for you grades and promise to do your work and take it seriously not taking it like a contest. I have after school programs and the way I think about it is education comes first. if you need to bring home homework then when your done with it check it through to be safe than sorry.
