I was fighting with my friend on my bed (the bed had no sheets) and I accidentally got punched in the nose and started bleeding. So now I'm wondering if anyone knows how to get blood out of a white mattress?
Here's a weird solution: 1. Wet the stain with cold water 2. Coat the blood stain with powdered meat tenderizer and more cold water 3. Rub in this paste you have formed and let the shirt sit for one half hour 4. While you're waiting use this time to make sure your alibi is solid (heehee) then rinse
You can also try carpet cleaning products (Spot Shot is great). Hydrogen peroxide also works well, pour on stain, let it fizz and blott until the stain is removed. Worst case, call a mattress cleaning company, but remember that the older the stain, the harder it is to remove it.
Meg ;-)
i would like to suggest a simple solution.
The catch is that try to maintain the mild acidic condition of the blood by reducing the pH value since protein is easier to be removed under mild acidic condition.
if the blood is fresh, try spit. the enzymes in saliva break up the blood. it works like bleach. if it's older, you may have to work at it.
Washing powder for clothes with warm water and a lot of scrubbing! Tried and tested. Don't know if it has to be a cirtian type tho :-/
For blood stains I use hydrogen peroxide with a toothbrush.
