Ok so I've heard a lot of songz with the chimpmunks voice you know alvin and the chipmunks how do they do it
Before computers, the method we used was to make a tape recording at a slow speed and then play it back at a higher speed. I tried it with a two-speed reel-to-reel machine I had--I recorded someone speaking very slowly at 4.75cm/sec, and then played the tape back at 9.5cm/sec. You had to be careful to speak in a normal voice as the tendency, when speaking slowly, is to lower the voice.
I remember The Chipmunks back in the late 1950's.
During the war, the Germans invented a Tonnschreiber that recorded high-speed Morse Code signals and the signals could then be played back at a lower speed without affecting the pitch at all. A similar method was used to create the Chipmunk effect (in reverse, of course).
yeah you can use a number of programs what I do is I record the song on webcam (but you c an use a camera to but it has to have the munchkin effect) and then go to windows movie maker and slo it down! but uif you have a mac, imacs fine to although its not the best way its still the free way xD
It's all in the pitch, a really high pitch. Girls could do it since they can hit the high notes. Or being nazel, speeking through your nose.
it's just editing. =] they edit the voice. ^^ they don't ACTUALLY have voices like that. lol. xD
Kk thanks
