How do I toughen up more?

Well I play quarter back and when I get hit blindsided it hurts a lot and some times it takes me a while to get up so how to I take the pain?

Answer #1

I am also a quarterback and I never feel pain when I get hit. My thumbs do hurt sometimes after an intense game. Maybe you should play quarterback on X-box and it might not hurt as much.

Answer #2

work out, get a little more muscle on you, wrestle people, I don’t know. im on the wrestling team I lift weights and I have 3 brothers. what ya wanna know? lol

Answer #3

3 THINGS. PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!! your body WILL adapt to what your doing, I’ve been doing hardcore training over the winter and the first week of it I thought I was going to explode and I thought I’d end up quiting. but now its easier and I can do it. believe in yourself and train hard. ALWAYS remember NO PAIN, NO GAIN. (in other words, if you don’t try, you won’t succeed) add me as a friend and send me a funmail if you want more advice on conditioning :)

Answer #4

Building core muscles will help a lot with taking hits.

Answer #5

Give it more time, Your body should eventually start adapting on it’s own (if you’re healthy) to where it will hurt them more and you less when people collide with you. Look at the professional QB’s. I can assure you they all weren’t born with specialized shock absorbing bodies. Like what question01 and denaxx said. Just stay healthy and manage the pain mentally. Think of pain as weakness leaving the body. It works for Marines and wrestlers.

Answer #6

The only way you can get better is by doing what your doing just push through the pain in time you will get better at it will hurt less.

Answer #7

build muscle to push them back. it probably wont hurt as much.
