How do I talk to my parents?

How do I talk to my parents about going to see a therapist?

Answer #1

There is a number of things you can do but the one I most highly recomend is the one that I used when I was kid you leave a note on your parents dresser right before you go to school so when your parents find it they will have time to think it over.

Answer #2

I’d talk to the parent that I’m closest to. Sometimes talking about difficult stuff is easier in the car because you don’t have to look each other in the eye. If you’re really having a difficult time, please don’t wait until you’re comfortable talking to your parents. TALK TO ANY ADULT THAT YOU TRUST.

Answer #5

kids are scared to talk to parent because tv,friends, and society put in their mines that the parent will get angry, they don’t understand me etc.my daughter is open to me on the big issue.i use to get angry at things she did and never really heard her side(most or all parent do this)until i understood she growning up and kids need to be listen to(our they will close up on you) so my daughter an i are close now and i tell her that she can come to me and tell me anything but she has to know i’m human and i will get upset, angry but after i truely think about the situation and have a hold of my self we sit down and talk like to rational people. so go to you parent with respect and talk with them calmly
