How do I persuade him??

I’m 15 and before I wasn’t really interested in charity. But I recieved a message from a group that I joined called leeds rhinos southstanders-it is a real group. They said for the benevolent fund which is for sports injuries helps the injured rugby players and families.I thought oh nice.it is a sposered walk 15 miles from leeds to wakefield and I have faith in myself to do it but my dad won’t let me. Also I am not very fit so this will help me get used to exercise. How do I persuade him to let me do it?? Oh yeh and also my friend will be doing it with me

Answer #1

Why not ask your father, mother, or another family member to participate with you! That way you have a chaperone to watch over you and make sure you are ok, and you also have someone there along with you.

Answer #2

Any particular reason that he doesn’t want you to? Have you asked your mother about this and she knows the reason? Does your dad not support the charitably organization that the walk is for?

I would ask him why exactly he won’t let you do it. If he is the one who is paying for the actual event I can understand his hesitancy. I am a bit tight fisted myself. 15 miles is quite a walk. If you plan on working up to that amount I suggest coming up with a plan for exercise, and starting it. Talk to him about this more, offer to pay for all or some of the cost. Show him your fitness plan and let him know that you’re doing this to give you a goal for getting in shape. If you show him that you are committed about this your chances of getting an OK would be increased.
