How do I make my iguana's cage more humid?

It’s so dang dry where I live, and I’m having trouble keeping the tank humid (and warm). It’s the right size tank with the right size lamp, I keep spraying the sides of the tank with a squirt bottle.. um.. and there’s a water bowl in there.. what else should I do?

I was told to put a wet towel on top of the tank to keep moisture in…is that a good idea?

Also the tank is barely 80 degrees if that :( Thank you!

Back when I had lizards (leopard geckos, tres cute), I used under-tank heat pads to keep things warm, and they seemed to dig it (like this: http://www.bigappleherp.com/Zoo-Med-Repti-Therm-Undertank-Heaters). Put them on one side of the cage, and they can move to the other side to cool off if they choose, which helps them regulate their own temperature more than ceramic bulbs or heat lamps. The warmth from the floor also evaporates water in the bowl, which should help with the humidity. A wadded-up moist paper towel in the cage would be a good idea if it’s super dry in your place, but change it often so it doesn’t get moldy.

I would be worried that covering the top of the tank would impede ventilation.
