How do I help a "stunned" adult robin?

I came across this adult robin, apparently stunned, just standing in the grass by my deck rocking back and forth. Not wanting the dogs to attack the poor bird, I carefully and gently laid the robin in a nest that she had made earlier this spring for her babies witch was set atop a picnic table. Should I give it water or something? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

No…just let her get unstunned…I’ve seen birds hit out picture window, and be stunned for 45 mins to an hour. Just keep an eye on her, so the other animals stay away…and to make sure she didn’t break a wing or anything…she’ll fly away, if she didn’t.

if you have bread…dampen it and put it in the nest so it can eat. put a small thing of water close by or in the nest incase they need it…but leave enough space in the nest for the bird to move around and nurse itself back to health. if by chance that doesn’t work you could always bring the bird to your closest veterinarian clinic and just say you found it that way.
