How do I get the difference between 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th?

How do the terms miscible and immiscible (from previously) relate to the terms soluble and insoluble?

Answer #1

Miscible is the capability of being mixed and immiscible is unable to be mixed. When substances are mixed, they are either miscible or immiscible. Soluble is the dissolving of a solute in a solvent and insoluble is unable to be dissolved. Miscible and soluble are both capable of being mixed or dissolved and vice versa; however miscible generally refers to two liquids mixing, whereas solubility refers to a solid dissolved in a liquid.
