What is difference between these?

what is the difference between a hydrogen atom and a hydrogen cation? I need to know for a Science work sheet but I have NO idea what the answer is. Help!

The atom is H, it has one electron in the outershell, it has a neutral charge,

The cation is H+, it loses the outer electron and has a positive charge
