How do I get my rabbit to trust me?

I have a 8 month old lionhead rabbit, and I have had her since she was 5 weeks old. I would think that by now she would trust me, but anytime I get near her she runs away and stomps her feet!! I have no clue how to get her to trust me, does anybody know?

I would just try takeing her pout of her cage more and holding her.

Rabbits are prey animals, so it is their natural instinct to run away from anyone who might be a predator. To show her that you’re not going to hurt her, try approaching very slowly, don’t make any sudden movements. Stop when you are, maybe 10 feet away, and sit down quietly. Be very patient and every couple of minutes move a little bit closer, maybe without even getting to your feet. When you are a few feet away from her, hold out a handful of food, or a few treats, and wait to see if she comes. If she comes to you, let her eat out of your hand or put the food on the floor right beside you. If she seems relaxed, you could slowly move your hand to touch her head, and pet her gently. Keep trying every day, and be patient, and she’ll trust you eventually. Also, most rabbits love to be petted from head to feet and brushed, if you brush and pet her every day she will learn to trust you. Good luck!
