How do I burn more calories on a stationary bike?

Do I burn more calories on a stationary bike by having a high gear, or going super fast? Witch one is more important for burning calories?

The way to burn the most calories hasnt been said yet :P.. do you know what interval training is? Ill explain just in case.. interval training is basically- when your on the bike go at a decent comfortable rate with resistance also comfortable.. then speed up really fast and turn up the resistance, go for about a minute or two (and Im talking like hardcore for that time) and then bring back down to where you were.. do this off and on giving urself no more than the amount of time you sprinted for + 30s (ie. sprint for 90s dont go more than 120 seconds before sprinting again) this really works your heart and increases your bodies need of oxygen which will, in turn, result in higher calorie burn, it will be intense so set a time and try to accomplish is because after a sprint you wont wanna sprint again but pushing urself if the best way to maximize your calorie burn.. O also if you want to burn fat and not just calories that u’ve eaten, work out in the morning before you eat and u’ll burn your stored fat instead of the food in your stomach ;) hope that helped..

Going slow in a higher gear actually burns more calories than doing it fast does. Just take it easy and for longer periods of time.

Yeah, I agree with bbabybarb. Just do it longer. Also you might want to lift some light weights while peddling.
