How do I break the news?
okay, so I am a freshmen, and my boyfriend is a senior… my mom freaked when she found out, but she met him and is okay wtih us dating…I just dont know how to break the news to my dad…I am his only daughter (I have 3 older brothers) and I dont want to hurt him, because I know that he is going to freak… my mom said that she wont say a thing to him about bryan (my boyfried) but should I tell my dad? or how should I tell him without him freaking? or if he does freak what should I do/say?

Its really your decision to tell your dad. You will know better than any of us as to how he will react. You being a freshman and your boyfriend a senior, doesn’t really phase many people. It seems to be quite common and isn’t frowned upon. Just break the news to him slowly and introduce him first, and see how he likes him. Usually meeting the guy and having a similar interest will help your dad cope.
