How can you tell if your ear is blood poison?

Ear is swollen and red is it blood poison and when to go doctor I pierced my own ear and it is swollen and red what do I do

Answer #1

Something that works really great is Sea Salt Water. Boil water, then put sea salt in it to desolve, then take cotton, and soak the ear. you can put it in a shot glass, and tip head to soak it too. It will take out the swelling, and kill bacteria, try not to touch it, that only makes it worse. Also, make sure you arent alergic to the earring. I’ve never heard of going to the doctor for a piercing,, blood poison, has long red lines under the skin.

It could be infected…and that infection could spread to your blood stream if it isnt treated. But blood poisoning? Doubtful.

The above post is a good idea. Or you could just use peroxide and neosporin.

Is there anything coming out? Puss, blood?

How long ago did you pierce it?

Did you clean everything well before piercing it?

What kind of earring did you put in? Is it real gold? If not, you are probably allergic.

You should have real gold in there anyway until it heals.

But it sounds to me like you need to take it out and let it heal up.
