How can incarcerated mother lose custody?

Mother is incarceratated for a third time due to drug addiction and violating parole after rehab. As the biological father I am seeking custody of my daughter . Any advice for me as I am representing myself

Answer #1

As long as your lifestyle isn’t anything like mama’s, then there shouldn’t be a problem…biological father comes ahead of a grandmother.

You have to show that you are responsible, employed, and able to care for them.

Answer #2

It should be very easy for you to get custody of your child. The only way it wouldn’t is if the maternal grandmother is seeking custody. At that point you really need to get representation, and state why it would be better for your daughter to be with her biological father, then her maternal grandmother. As in, not having anything in the closet that could be brought into the case. But other than that, it should be quite easy, only because she is incarcerated.

Answer #3

Uh go to court, it shouldnt be hard to remove custody. I’d consider trying to get representation.

Answer #4
