How can I watch my laptop on my TV?

I have done lots of research online to find out how I can hook up my laptop to my TV to watch movies and stuff.. So I got an S-video to RCA connector but the screen is only in B&W – does any1 know if I’m doing something wrong here or what is going on? – Also, I have read that I need to change my S-video out setting on the laptop and I have tried to find it but I have looked and looked, can’t find where I can configure this anywhere - I have Home Vista Basic on this laptop. Please Help!

Hi,

I can tell you on XP but I’m not sure about Vista…is there anyway you could call Microsoft technical support, or perhaps the computer manufacturer (ie. Dell, Gateway, etc.)?
