How can I say I don't like their food without offending them?

I start a job at a Thai food place tomorrow and I think they are going to want me to try their food on like my break. The problem is I cant stand the food, I tried it several times before getting the job and I just cant get used to it.

What do I say if they want me to try it? Because I don’t want to offend their culture.

Answer #1

It doesn’t smell lol its just a tiny place in the mall. You can smell like vegetables I guess but I have no problem with that, I just hate rice. I live in a small town, its hard to get a job and I need to save up for college :(

Answer #2

Tell them you’re allergic to the spices, or that you’re lactose intolerant [I believe thai cooking uses cheese]

Answer #3

Tell them you are vegatarian. Or vegan for that matter. Why did you except a job there if you hate the food. Yuck, you have to smell something you hate all day long,. I’d puke.

Answer #4

dude ats at your work they aint gunna care if you say that you dont like thai food. I dont like tacos but ima work at taco bell. they wont find it offensive.

Answer #5

Thai is my favorite cuisine. Perhaps if you tried more dishes you would find something you like. Thai food is a mixture of different cuisines. There are curry dishes that are similar to Indian food. Stir fried vegetables over rice that are similar to Chineese dishes, and the more distinctive noodle dishes like Pad Thai, Rad Na, Pad Ke Mao (drunken noodles) etc. Perhaps you have tried only one kind of Thai food.
