I'm makeing my version of Make Five Wishes. At the beginning, the main character says I've always felt like this fly and in the pannel there's a fly in a window trying to get out, but can't get anywhere.
I need a metaphor like that, but somethinhg you'd see in every-day life. Anyone got any ideas?

I've always felt like a rabbit in a hole, trying to get out, and no matter how far I dig, I can't seem to get out.
I've always felt trapped in a box, like a young kitten; it doesn't matter how many times I push the lid up and try to jump out, someone always pushes me back in.
I feel like I'm stuck running on a treadmill. I work SO hard to get away, but really I'm just running in place.
