What makes a book that you fall in love with?

What do you think makes a best selling book like the Twilight Saga or the Harry Potter Series? I’m a writer, and I only want to write if it’s going to be a hit. What makes a book that you fall in love with?

Of course everyone wants to write a hit but how often does it happen? For me - it’s personal experience, people writing about things that have happened to me and make me understand the purpose of things in life.

I also write because I want my books to be popular, but you should start out small by writing for fun and work your way up. Sorry if I didn’t help you too much.
