How can I e-mail my parents?

How to e-mail parents?

I have trouble saying what I want to, especially about very emotionally sensitive things, but I want to e-mail my parents about all sorts of very important things, some of which are very painful. I also need to get them to really read it and respond. any advice?

Assuming you have their email address(s), send them a first email that says exactly what you have said above and explain to them that you are going to continue communicating with them by email because that is the method that lets you communicate the most easily. You may include one of the topics that is bothering you.

In future emails you might include other topics that are bothering you but don’t overload any single email. Make them as simple yet complete as possible.   Make sure you respond to each of their emails. If a response to a particular email is going to take you some amount of time to organize, then at least send them an immediate reply that lets them know you are working on an appropriate response but that you wanted to acknowledge receiving their email.

I agree with Ethmer… and if for some reason you can’t email them, write it out, or type it and print it out, put it in an envelope, and put their names on it, and put it where they will find it.
