How can I blow dry my hair poker straight?
Start with wet or damp hair.
Put a straightening cream or serum on it. Lightly, not too much. Focus on the ends.
Section off your hair and do only one section at a time.
Get a flat paddle brush, preferably vented with a metal base. THe longer your hair, the wider/bigger the brush. If you have short hair, use a skinnier brush. You can also use a round brush with metal vents or a bristle round brush–but beginners find those hard to use.
Pick hair up with brush starting at root and put dryer nozzle about an inch or two from your hair on the brush.
Blow downward with firm tension, pulling the hair straight and taut as you go.
Do your whole head this way until 100% dry, then go over the frizzy spots with a straightener. straighten with a slight bend through the ends so as to avoid the pancake flat straight look. Keep some body in there by keeping the hair in a nice bend shape with the brush until it cools down. I always recommend a porcelain straightening iron.
