Should I blow dry curly/wavy hair?

I have very wavy/curly hair, its almost shoulder length, and I usually let it air dry and love the outcome..but with school starting soon I don’t really want to go to school with soaking wet hair, but still want my curls..it takes 2 ish hours for it to air dry, so if I blow dry it, will it ruin the waves/curls?

you can buy products to put in your hair to keep it curly and still blow dry it….at the risk of sounding like my gran, you shouldnt really go out with wet hair! especially in the autumn/winter….

Answer #2

Yes, blowdrying will probably ruin the natural curls and poof up your hair. If you towel-dry it thoroughly and buy a curl serum/cream, it shouldn’t take as long as 2 hours to dry and it will be curly. You’re so lucky that you love how your hair goes naturally! Most people don’t like their natural hair haha.

I have the same issue!

I use to options when I blow-dry my hair in the morning before school.

  1. I use a diffuser, which is a little thing that snaps on to the bottom of your blowdryer and is used to blow dry curly hair

  2. Before I got my diffuser, I just scrunched my hair while blowdrying my hair on a cool setting ( dont use the hottest setting, use cool for most part, but if your in a rush, try warm if your blowdryer has it )
