How can I adopt a friend's baby?

A friend of a friend is having a baby any day now and does not want the baby. My friend told her about me and how I have been fostering and wanting to adopt and she agreed to giving the baby to me. She doesn’t want Child Protective Services to get involved. I want this to be legal. I am currently a licensed foster/adopt home. I would love to give this baby a forever home and love it as it were my own. How do I do this?

Answer #1

in order to get that baby since she doesnt want it if shes isnt will to give it away then you have to prove to the courts that shes an unfit mother but you have to have a lot of proof you have to show that she cant take care of the baby ,she cant give it what it needs and ect

Answer #2

CPS does investigate on a lot of adoptions, and depending on your state/city laws, it may be mandatory. Contact a child custody lawyer- you’ll have to pay lawyer fees, but that’s pretty much the only way to ensure it is done legally without going through an adoption agency.

Answer #3

just ask your mom to get the baby and its all urs

Answer #4

Anybody can give their child up for adoption and since she’s willing to give her baby up for adoption you just have to get a lawyer, so then that everything can be done legally because you don’t want her to have any legal rights (for the childs safety and yours). You wont have to prove her as an unfit mother because she’s giving up her rights as she doesn’t want the baby.
