How Can A 13 Year Old Loose Weight In A Week?
Im 13 Years Old And I Weight 9 Stone And 12 lbs.. This Is Not Good For My Age, I’ve tried To Lay Of Snacking In The Day, But I Still Tend To Sneak Something Every Now And Then. People Just Say Its Puppy Fat But That Went And Now I Have Got Bigger. I Have Stretch Marks On My Upper Legs And Hips. Please Let Me Know If You Have Any Suggestions For Me.. Thanks :) … Stacey
One technique that is gaining more popularity in allied health. derived from a movement called health coaching includes setting one or two small goals. If you try to set lots of massive goals, the chances are you will fail, or turn into a yo yo dieter.
So, with health coaching, you choose one small goal, and work on that for two weeks. For example, before you said you were trying to cut back on your snacking. So, your goal would be: to not snack on junk food.
The next step is to work out why you snack on junk. It may be that your bored or because the junk is always around for you to see. so to achieve the goal, you would set sub-goals, such as: 1) Go for a walk when your bored;
and 2) put the junk food thats around the house for you to see, away into the cupbord so you cant see it.
Its about setting a main goal, and looking for reasons you are not achiveing that main goal. Then set sub-goals to get around those challenges so you can achive your main goal.

Try eating healthy snacks, like fruit, healthy cereal, yogurt, trail mix, salads. Also you should get some exercise. You don’t have to start like an intense workout, just try to find a sport or physical activity that you enjoy, and do it at least a few days a week for at least 30 mins. You could try taking lessons or joining a team (soccer, gymnastics, hockey, dance…) or you could try buying a pilates or other workout DVD. Try to get a friend in on it too, it’s easier when you’re working with someone, and more fun. Maybe you and a friend could just play a game of badminton or shoot hoops at a playground a couple nights a week. (bike there, that will help too) Good Luck!! :) :):)
Thanks You Guys… Now I Just Need The EncourageMent To Do So…I no I Shouldnt Be worrying About My Weight At My Age But Even My Mum Says Im Over Weight… I Have A Boyfriend And I Feel As If I Need To Look Pretty For when We Meet Up. I’ll Say To Myself “im Going To Exercise Today And Start My Diet” But I Forget And Carry On My Usal Unhealth Lifestyle, And Suggestions??? :-(
You’re 13! you should be out there having fun not concerning about your weight! but any who.. it’s not good to loose a lot of weight in a short period of time. take it step by step and change you’re eating habbits and lifestyle to adapt a healthier one. one of my tricks is never miss breakfast, whatever you want even if its unhealthy because you have the rest of the day to burn it off and it keeps you’re energy levels up, then for lucnh, snacks and dinner go for healthier options. An average craving lasts obnly 10 minutes or so, so when you’re craving something wait 10 minutes, then after have some fruit and low fat yoghurt that will fill you up.
Try and walk to wherever you can. get involved with house chores, an hours work can burn upto 500 cals! mail to my inbox if you want, I can give you loads more tips ^_^
Try eating healthy salads and cut back on eating junk food. Also stay away from white foods such as white bread or rice etc. it’s unhealthy. And eat Frozen vegetables:) I’m Joevonie age 17 my a social site name is Joevonie Ware. Yeah I mean try that though it might just help you and try watching Dr Oz show.
General excercise, everytime you feel hungry during meals have an apple, bla bla usual crap really :) lol
DRINK GREEN TEA.. HELPS WITH METABOLISM… ALSO GOOD PROTEIN LIKE PEANUT BUTTER AND TUNA… NOT SO MUCH FAT BUT VERY FILLING!! GOOD LUCK!
