How (are handfastings possible after death?)?

I dont think anyone can legally marry both of you if he’s now dead despite the fact that hes feelings may have not changed, as the above said, he is not living and unable to say I do unortunantly you also cant marry someone who has died, legally at least but remember that you dont need to get married to proove how much you/him/you both still love each other and you can always get married in your on way when you pass on and are able to see him again

Handfasting is so different from traditional marriage. No you can have a legal and binding one now that he is gone on this plane but…Do some meditation. There is nothing that says that your soul cannot meet his there and have your own handfasting. It won’t change anything for anyone but yourself but that is all that matters isn’t it?

My only concern though is if you do this… if you bind him to you like that, his soul to yours while you are still living and he has fullfilled this journey in this time that it might prevent him from being able to move on. I’m not sure what your beliefs are as Paganism is so varied and colorful but to some the soul is reincarnated. To others it waits for you on the other side.

If you believe that he will come around again in another life, handfasting in astral might prevent him from continuing his spiritual journey.

I would say send your love out to him. Let him know that you will always love him. But do not tie him to this plane. There might be more for you to learn in this life as well, and letting go might be one of them. He would not want you alone and pinging for him and mourning him the rest of your days. He would want you to love and be loved. So make peace with it and him and know that his soul lives on, then get on with your own journey and find out what it is that you are meant to learn on this plane. You might be pleasantly surprised.
