It depends on the situation. Why did yallbreak up, is he with someone else, has he moved on, do yall even talk anymore. While you may feel your still in love with him you may not even understand your own feelings. Its normal to be sad and feel like youve lost someone you loved but you need to remember why you broke up and dont put yourself out there if hes moved on.
