Hip 'Collapsing'?

I’m 15 years of age, and I often collapse because of my hip. It’s hard to explain. It often occurs when I’m leaning to one side, either left or right. Suddenly I feel a quick, sharp/odd pain in my hip, sort of like rolling, then I fall over and can’t control it. Other times it just happens when I’m standing up. It hasn’t happened a lot lately, but about a week ago was the last time. It’s really embaressing, luckily it hasn’t happened in public yet, only at my home. Is this normal because my hips are developing? Or is something wrong with me?

Most likely your hips are starting to widen, getting the body prepared for your child bearing years…it’s nothing serious and it’s very common.

Agree with the above comment, judging by the souds of it you best get it looked at to be on the safe side :)

I’ve never heard of that. Best to talk to a doctor, if possible. Might be what ichnibanarky said, but who knows for sure.
