What do my blood results say about my kidneys?

How healthy are my kidneys if I have 144 mmol/L (Sodium); 6.3 mmol/L (Potassium); 108 mmol/L (Chloride); 33 mg/dL (Urea) in my blood? I am a 58 year old woman.

Answer #1

Hi,

I’m not a doctor, I have no idea what those numbers mean or what the normal range is. Whoever took your blood and tested it, either your doctor or the lab company, should give you normal ranges and go over your results with you.

Good luck.

Answer #2

Your urea is a bit high but did they test your creatinine? Bun should be around 7-20 and creatinine 1.4 mg/dL .

Answer #3

Go back to your doctor and ask him/her what your resuts mean, they are the best to give advice about this.
