You should be able to lift your own weight but considering you were able to lift that much without formal training isnt that bad. I am a weight lifter myself (335 pounds is how much I lift) Find out how much you can lift 10 times, take a break do it another 10 times then another break and one last set. 3 sets of 10 at your body weight is your goal for right now. First week or so you will get VERY sore but just do the best you can and make sure you do this weight as many times as possible. After you can go without getting sore every week try to add 10 more pounds. Once you have reached your body weight keep lifting that weight for about a month. After about a month of being able to lift your own weight 10 times for 3 sets you should be able to lift double your body weight at least once. Keep with it and in 6 months everyone will notice and you wont be able to quit if you tried.

it doesn’t go by age or weight it’s your strength it shouldn’t be too hard but not real easy either. if you did that real easy add 5 pounds if it was ok stay at that for now
