Help! I Dropped Something In The Water

Ok! I am an idiot and a clutz and fully admit that. I just dropped my Sony Reader in a tub of water but I grabbed it within like a second and dried it off. Now it doesn’t charged or anything. HELP! What should I do?

Answer #1

Electronic things dont seem to mind getting wet and then drying out. If it was just water, you’re in luck. If it was coffee or coke, forget it… my keyboard knows that. My daughter’s cell phone was lost in a wet field for a year until some neighbours found it, dried it off then phoned her with it, lol.

Answer #2

Take it apart and put it in a tupperware filled with rice for 24 hours. The rice will soak up any moister. A blow dryer can damage it, do not use one.

Answer #3

don’t try and turn it on thats what will ruin it if you can attempt to take it apart and let it air out for a few days then try it again if it still doesn’t work you may need to replace the battery or I might be ruined over all

Answer #4

if you put it in a ziploc bag of uncooked dry rice theyll suck out all the water. it works amazingly!

Answer #5

I did this with my remote, left it alone for 2 days, randomly started working again…

Just let it dry out… and see…

BLOW DRYER WORKS BEST
