Why can't I hear anything after reinstalling XP?

Okay my computer was running slow so my partner told me to re-install Windows XP and he’ll show me how to speed it up…it worked but now i cant here any sound when music is being played. This happed once before but i managed to sort it out; but this time i can’t, i dont know what’s up with it. Is there anyone who can help me? please please please get back to me soon;

Try going to your tray at the bottom - rt click on the speaker - now you can check on the volume controls…hope this helps !

Only thing I know would be - check all cables / connections - make sure they’re secure and check your volume control on the speaker itself to ensure it’s turned up and on - Good luck !!

well it happened with my computer also .but i dont have any problem now.i connected the audio out put through usb port.you get a small equipment so that you can connect your audio out put through usb port.try it if possible.

Most likely you need to install or update the audio drivers / codecs for your particular computer or motherboard. Depending on the maker of your computer, you might have a system disk with the drivers for audio, or you could maybe go to the microsoft windows update by selecting tools windows update from internet explorer then find the update for audio. System disk is usually the better choice as microsoft messes up sometimes.

Also if you have a fresh xp install, there will be tons of critical and security updates you will definately want to install/update by using the above method…windows update.
