I have to move out of my house soon

I am 17, and I have to move out of my house soon. I have a friend that is the same boat. We are treated really bad at our homes and need out. Can we move out without having to have the papers from our parents saying we can? I’m in kansas if that helps. I’ve heard I can and I’ve heard I can’t. Which is it?

Answer #1

No… 10 months… you can save up money, find a job, find transportation, find a place to live, and in a few months you can move out… of course if it is that bad, call DCFS and they’ll find you foster care…

Answer #2

If you’re 17 and the ‘age of majority’ is 18, you are still a minor and cannot leave unless parental permission is given or an emancipation has been granted by the court.

Answer #3

I don’t know but I don’t think you need any thing but your stuff get a job and settle down
