Heart murmur

How serious is a heart murmur I have been getting really bad nosebleeds and so I went 2 the doctor she said I had a heart murmur but it could be from stress. I got a hemogloben (sp?) test done and im not anemic. im going to the hospital to see an ear nose and throat specialist (for cauterizing my nose) and a pediatric caridiologist because im 13. how many people have a heart murmur? Whats the chances of it being serious?

Answer #1

well since your Hemoglobin is normal that means that your blood is oxygenating normally and its not having any bad effects on your health. Therefore your heart murmur doesn’t seem to be affecting your health at all in a bad way.

Answer #2

Well, I don’t really know what a heart murmur is, so if it isn’t very popular or in the news, I guess it isn’t that severe.

Answer #3

Well,I dont really know what a heart murmur is,but my mom has one. Shes never had any real problems with it,that I know of.An I’ve known her my whole life, hah. So I guess theyre not always so severe?

Answer #4

A heart murmur is just a heartbeat with extra sound. Instead of “La-DUB” the heart beat may have a swishing sound with it.

A heart murmur is usually harmless unless associated with other signs of heart problems. (that’d be why a hemogloben test was done, to rule out any problems)

I have a heart murmur and my boyfriend has an irregular heart beat (when your heart skips beats)
