Why do I hear noises when I try to take a little nap?

when i try to nap, in a few suconds or mintues there would be a loud noise that didn’t happin. like i would hear screaming, electric shuttle, sound that is like blowing on a bear bottle but when i open my eyes instantly the sound is off. i have no dreams when i nap so i know it isn’t comming from a dream. when i hear it i instantly open my eyes and it’s gone. could it be i’m making up what i hear because that seems imposible, the noise whould be so loud that my ear iches.

Answer #1

When you are busy, you do not pay much attention to what is going on with your surroundings. When you are closing your eyes and do nothing, that’s when you start to realize that you are not alone.

Answer #2

Irrelevant… That’s not what is being talked about…

Answer #3

You’re probably partially within the dream state of sleep, but not deeply enough to actually be in the dream. Something you may not know is that everybody dreams every night. We just do not remember many because many take place in our subconscious. You may be hearing random sounds because your subconscious is preparing to dream, but you are not quite deeply asleep enough that it will not wake you up.

Answer #4

Because you’re tired and your body react to it in many ways, hearing noise is just the common way that tells you you are tired, there are many other signs show tireness, but you can not realized.

Answer #5

It says she hears noises that don’t happen.

Answer #6

try turning on a fan so while you nap you can focus on a single constant noise. That’s what I do every night because if I don’t have some kind of background noise, I’ll end up hearing every little sound….

Answer #7

I don’t think her answer is irrelevant at all - when the eyes close, the ears adjust to compensate for it and you’re able to hear things that you couldn’t hear before.
