How hard would it be to build and start your own orphanage in a third world country?

I’ve always had a dream to start my own orphanage in a third world country, I love children and want to be able to make sure that orphans are safe and have a place to live, especially since they have such a hard time in third world countries. I was wondering how hard it would be to start one and how exactly would I go about beginning?

Answer #1

It would be pretty hard I think, I think you need like to be qualified in looking after children etc and you need to get a license to run an orphanage not just any person can do it

Answer #2

It wouldn’t be that hard. See if you are a qualified person you can probably get away with earning a lot in those countries with part time work, which the other part time could be used to build an orphanage. You would however have to stay there for a while to understand the culture and the needs of the people in the community you would be helping otherwise you’ll probably end up being used for charity (it happens a lot). However I would urge you to rather start a home like that in your own country as we have this nasty habit of spoon feeding third world countries with charity so that they never help themselves out of it.
