Is my hand fine?

my puppy died yesterday and out of..sadness I guess, I hit my hand on the ground outside with my knuckles and now the hand part is swollen. It looks a little like when you blow up those latex gloves? it doesn’t hurt much but I’m pretty good with pain. If it’s not sprained or anything, I don’t wanna go to the doctor’s cuz I have a lot to do, so will ice be okay, or should I go have it looked at?

Answer #1

Can you move it properly? If not, then you probably broke something and should see a doctor. Otherwise it’s probably just soft tissue that got hurt and ice should work fine on it.

Answer #2

You really cant know without going to the doctor. I broke my arm and had no idea (it was sore, but but it didnt hurt like I thought a break would hurt). You need to get it x-rayed to make sure.

Answer #3

I have to ask, what was your reaction when you found it was broken?

Answer #4

go to the doc cuz it could be broken.. since ist swollen id see a doctorr NOW! its good u iced it tho that was smart to do!

Answer #5

This was a long time ago and we didnt have good hospital facilities. Which meant I was flown to a different country to get my arm set… So yeah… I was obviously not happy about that.

Answer #6

I’m sorry to hear that… Must’ve sucked alot huh?

Answer #7

I mean I got to miss school. And my arm didnt hurt that bad. So it really wasnt a big deal to me.

Answer #8

Haha, missing school was a big goal for you back then right? :)

Answer #9

Actually I missed school quite regularly. Still do when I can. As much as I’m not supposed to say this, it never hurt (top of my class in high school). I learn by reading.

Answer #10

wow ty, you’re such a good role model for the youth ya know that :) My friend broke his uh, wrist I think it was skateboarding, cried lol…

Answer #11

I can move it like nothing.. it hurts a teeny bit when I put my hand flat. Other than that, it feels fine. It’s still very swollen, so I’ll keep putting ice. thanks! :)

Answer #12

lol, no, def didnt cry or anything. which is why whenever anyone talks about not being sure i say go to the doctor. It didnt even hurt that much, it was just a little swollen. and personally i think the system needs to adapt. I’ve wasted countless hours playing games on my laptop because I was forced to be in class when I didnt need to be. I’m an adult, I have a 4.0 GPA. Professors should have no right to force us to be in class just because they want the company.

Answer #13

LOL awww we keep them company how cute! :)

Answer #14

I cant think of why else they demand our presence. Seriously you’d think we were 5. The classes where attendance was important (also the classes that it wasnt required), I showed up to all of them. They just like to pretend that we show up because they’re needed.

Answer #15

Is that really how it is now?! I mean, my classes usually last the whole period?! I wanna move to your school, seems a lot better than mine!

Answer #16

lol, university my dear. High school there was no such thing as skipping classes (I have no idea where people would go if they wanted to, we had 20 kids per grade)

Answer #17

20 kids? Wow, we got like 33+ kids per class… Some of them usually cut but hey, it’s a long list lol

Answer #18

Not class. Grade. I had a graduating class of 10. My entire school (from ages 3-18) had about 350 kids.

Answer #19

Wow, that’s like, all the people in my lunch period… Really small, was it hard to get into it? :O

Answer #20

I started going to the school when I was 5. There were maybe 40 people in total back then.

Answer #21

oh and no it wasnt difficult, i was put in the second grade (crazy people, because of them i graduated at 16)

Answer #22

Gosh that’s well, lucky and smart at the same time I might say? lol.

Answer #23

It wasnt so lucky when I was younger. A lot of things just develop with age. It’s hard being a lot younger than everyone else and just a little bit slower. I caught up when I was 14, but it wasnt exactly fun.

Answer #24

Haha, I don’t think school was ever meant to be fun. I mean, the honors class in my school is laughable… They’re crazy kids I tell you…
