What are your experiences with a naval piercing?

I want to get mine done soon.
How much did yours cost? How was the pain? What was your result outcome?

I got my nose pierced a few years ago and passed out. Did any of you pass out while getting a piercing or am I the only one?

I had one done a few years ago:

In terms of cost - I cannot tell you as we use different currencies and prices would have changed. Pain wise - The piercing part wasn’t sore, afterwords it was sore and I felt a bit faint because I saw how they pierced a needle in my skin and went to bed afterwords.lol Result - I liked it, but soon got tired of it and took it out and even after about 4 years I still have a small hole in my stomach - so think about it.

All in all opinion: A highly overrated piercing.

I’ve had both nose and bellybutton, my nose was done with a gun though so I didn’t feel it at all and was fine. Bellybutton really hurt for me, but everybody else I know who has had it done said they hardly felt it at all. I don’t think the pain is the only thing that can make you pass out, a friend of mine claimed it didn’t hurt at all but she fainted on the street 10 minutes later.

Mine cost $30 NZ dollars, I got it half price haha so it would usually be 60. That included the jewelry, the price should include jewelry unless you chose a special specific piece.

- I had many a problem when I got it done. It got irritated from rubbing on my school-skirt hem (I was only 13 when I had it done) and got infected. The infection caused my whole stomach to swell and although it didn’t hurt very much, it was gross and really annoying. It took about a year and a few months to heal fully. I must have spent $130 on creams and ointments for it after having it done.

- Now, I do not have it anymore because I took it out a few months ago. I was just ‘over’ it and decided it was too mainstream lol. I have a small hole where it was but it’s not too noticeable. I can get an earring through the hole but not a belly ring anymore.

- I wouldn’t get it done again, too much fuss. But if you want it, go for it, it’s an easy piercing for piercers to do (less risk of complication on their part) and one with loads of information available about it.

- But when you are driving back from the piercer, the seatbelt will rub on it… keep that in mind haha.
