Is it proper English to say this?
is it proper to say “this is the best school I’ve ever teached at’? it sounds wrong to me
no, the past tense of teach is taught not teached
Although usage is gradually changing, it’s still not proper to end a sentence with a preposition, e.g. “at”, or “in”. Go with Mikeh’s offering.
Taught. This is the best school at which I’ve ever taught. And the “ever” is redundant since “best” is a superlative.
I think it’s ‘The best school I’ve ever been taught in.’
“This is the best school I’ve ever taught at”
that is grammatically correct.
