Hi,

Is there a technical school or university by your house? If so, you could major in computer programming or engineering. Many vocational schools such as ITT Tech (you may have seen the commercials) offer this type of technical training.

I am currently attending school to be a computer engineer. The road is not an easy one. To start, you will begin with the highest level of mathematics (most students start with calculus and work their way through every advanced math class beyond that). Also, you will need to take two general chemistry classes and begin a very intense level of calculus based physics (5 calc based physics in all for the associates degree). Add some gen ed. and foreign language classes to this and you can earn an associates in engineering science. My suggestion is to do all of this at your local community college while keeping your grades as high as possible, then you can transfer to a top engineering school based on your GPA alone. Good luck and do not plan to have a life while in school.
